FAQs

are all of your drawing originals?

yes. all works available for sale are original, hand-drawn pieces created by me. i do not produce or sell prints. each original is signed and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. as the copyright holder, i retain the right to exhibit works where appropriate, although i typically only exhibit pieces that remain available for sale.

what medium do you use?

most of my drawings are mostly created on high-quality, heavyweight smooth bristol board (250gsm), in either natural or ice white, or smooth heavyweight cartridge paper. i use water-based ink, which is non-toxic, acid-free and vegan-friendly, made by the UK-based company Diamine. i aim to represent tonal range and contrast as accurately as possible online, though slight variations may occur due to photography and screen display differences, as ink is very hard to photograph accurately.

which pieces do you exhibit?

i typically exhibit works that remain unsold. if a purchased piece is scheduled for exhibition, we can either agree to complete delivery after the exhibition or arrange alternative delivery to suit the situation.

how much do you charge for shipping and how long will delivery take?

within the uk, i offer several delivery options. where appropriate, in-person collection or delivery may also be arranged.

works can be shipped framed (additional cost applies) or unframed in secure flat packaging or a protective postal tube. all pieces are carefully packed to ensure safe transit. all shipments are sent with tracking. once dispatched, responsibility for delivery lies with the courier, though i will always assist with any issues that may arise. for multiple purchases, additional shipping costs may apply. express delivery options can be arranged upon request.

can i commission a special drawing or painting?

yes, i accept commissions. please get in touch to discuss your idea in detail. commissioned works require a 50% deposit upfront, with the remaining balance due prior to dispatch. shipping and framing costs (if applicable) are additional. an invoice will be provided for all payments.

can i view a piece before purchasing it?

yes, i am always happy to meet a buyer by appointment. this can also be done by video.

what currency can i pay in?

all payments are taken in british pounds (£gbp).

how do i pay for a drawing?

i require immediate payment for each drawing before shipping (with shipping and framing costs added, where applicable). as mentioned above, commissions will require a 50% deposit in advance. paypal is the most secure way of shopping online. when you purchase using paypal, your information is 100% secure and is not shared with me. no information can be used outside of the site and credit card details are not stored. alternatively, i can take payment via zettle. this is my card reader, which can generate a secure payment link allowing me to accept payments from customers who are not physically present. payment is encrypted and completely secure, and credit card details are not stored. alternatively, you can purchase through etsy.

what is your returns policy?

if you are not satisfied with your purchase, please contact me within 48 hours of receiving your work.

refunds are only issued where the work is found to be significantly not as described. approved returns must be sent back in original condition within 14 business days of delivery. return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer.
